For us, it’s a privilege to be a part of this exciting energy transformation which will see our world shift from a fossil-fuel to a renewable-based energy economy in the years to come.
With this comes an inherent responsibility for us to sustainably manage the extraction and processing of the raw materials that are pivotal to driving this change. This includes ensuring that our operations are conducted with minimal environmental and social impact in line with the world we are striving to create.
We do this by always asking ‘how can we do this this better?’. This could be finding new ways to manage resources more efficiently, looking at how we can minimise our impact and promoting our inclusive and diverse culture across our operations, while ensuring we operate honestly, ethically and responsibly. This commitment is central to us maintaining our licence to operate and creating value for us, our shareholders and the communities in which we operate.

Our rapid growth from explorer to producer, along with our role in the global energy transformation, has raised the bar for how we manage and disclose our sustainability performance. During 2019, we commenced public reporting through the release our first sustainability report. This report sets a baseline for sustainability performance and establishes the foundation for 'year on year' disclosure of our performance through our annual reporting process.
This is only the beginning of what will be a committed journey towards achieving full sustainability disclosure and reporting, and improvement year on year. To support us on this journey and ensure we can continue to deliver and meet stakeholder expectations, we have established a sustainability working group within our organisation and a five-year plan that provides a step by step approach towards full sustainability reporting and disclosure as the business matures.
