Since 2020 Pilbara Minerals has supported the Books in Schools program at the Yandeyarra Remote Community School.
The program provides books for children to read each term and is supported by learning activities to build literacy skills. Reading is also critical to improve imagination, build vocabulary, increase concentration and improve learning skills
Approximately 22 children, ranging from Year One to Year Twelve, participated in the program in 2021.
We look forward to continuing our partnership with the Yandeyarra Remote Community School to assist children develop a positive link between school and their local communities and enjoy reading from an early age.
