Pilbara Minerals is committed to fostering a workplace culture that embraces diversity and inclusion, has fair employment conditions and practices, actively engages employees in business decisions, encourages the continual improvement of our people through development opportunities and a positive work life balance.
Our supportive approach allows us to attract, retain, develop and engage talented people from a range of backgrounds. We understand a diverse workforce is critical to improved business performance and we strive to make continual progress in this area.
Diversity and Inclusion
At Pilbara Minerals we embrace diversity and inclusion and recognise that it is a growing challenge in our sector.
We have a zero tolerance approach toward disrespect or inappropriate behaviour. In 2021 we launched our “Stand Up – Unmute Yourself” campaign to encourage employees to call out disrespectful behaviour and reinforce the company’s values around diversity and inclusion.
Other initiatives we implemented to improve diversity and inclusion include:
- Access to Company-Paid Primary Carers Leave for male employees
- The introduction of Working From Home arrangements for Perth Office employees
- Introduction of “shortlisting commitments” to promote female employment and increase female representation in our workforce
- Introduction of female employment targets in our Short Term Incentive Scheme for executive and senior management positions.
